January's Wintry Bits

 Hello to all :)

This January's Wintry Bits literally gave us a few wintry days, as well as bits of this and that...the glimpse through the snapshots...

...beautiful days for riding lessons...




...Janessa making the rope climbing at CrossFitKids look easy...and yes, she can shimmy right to the top...

...walked in and she was sweating and working hard on burpee box jumps...
...bring-a-friend week at CrossFitKids...KeKe went as one of Janessa's friends...this is her in bright pink while there...just standing there watching, but would NOT jump in for anything...
...once we got home, she started doing all the exercises on her own, lol!  I totally get it, I like to work out on my own too...
...one of the many family game nights we have enjoyed...
...the look I get when the game is frustrating someone, lol!...
...Janessa saved up for her 2025 Breyer Winter horse...last year's was such a clearance steal, KeKe got the 2024 one...
...Kirk tutoring Janessa in math, and honestly, he would make a great teacher...
...those duck, duck, geese keep showing up at times when you least expect them, LOL!!...

...early morning good-bye to Jadon as he leaves to head back to training...gonna miss him, but thankful he is pursuing and following where he feels God is leading him...
...Janessa's Cross Classical Academy 4th grade class, school picture, and whole school picture...

...love this girl...
...Jadon's deer hunting produces good eating...jalapeno cheddar deer burgers were amazing grilled!...
...the Advent tree the girls did through December, and they are saying goodbye as it goes away since the season is over...
...my cutie and her imagination and love of dressing up...
...just a medieval princess and her 'teepee castle'...
...ah, the girls are in love with their food play items from one of the sweetest friends :)...

...3-D wooden puzzle, complete with gears, sound, and moving parts...thanks, Kirk, it will be fun finding a place for it next winter season...
...Over The Rainbow treat with Daddy with their Rokeyroad Creamery Kansas shirts on...kind of cute...
...what has become a tradition for our family for high school and college age years...attending a beautiful homeschool ball in Oklahoma...what an experience of excellence and formal etiquette...this year was extra fun, as some friends joined in...
...he dresses up snazzy...


...and a yummy stop at the Duck Roasters Coffee Company on the way home...


...the best Golden Chai and Pour Over coffee ever!...
...the girls and Daddy at home :)...
...Caspian started enjoying some time in the backyard... he gets along great with the dogs, even likes being on the trampoline (even if someone is rebounding), and loves to cuddle on the egg nest chair...


...the swing set is coming along and looking nice...did I mention sturdy???  This is so sturdy and solid, it will not be going anywhere, LOL!!!...

...a girl and her many Schleigh animals...she LOVES Schleigh animals and will spend LOTS of time playing with them and moving her 'herds' around the house...what healthy play for the brain...


...traveling for work can be an easy excuse too not work out...but it has been proven again and again, this guy feels so much better when he pushes himself to work out while on the road traveling...he found out Wisconsin weather was bitterly cold at 5:30 in the morning at the CrossFit gym there...he said the cold wasn't hardly human feeling :P...
...this wintery blast completely shut everything down for a few days here in Texas...It was such a wonderful pause...some of our views from this wintery weather...




















...and you know if it's cold outside, this cat who prefers hot to cold, will be begging to come in :D...

...Jason and Kirk met Jadon in South Dakota for a wedding that Jadon was the best man in... it was a cold weekend, but a beautiful wedding weekend, they said...

 Howdy :) August was settling back home after a season of travel and preparing for the various transitions in our crew for the next season or a new season...moments caught on camera... ...enjoying some Rosie time: washing her, braiding her hair, and then going on a nice walk with her...she is such a cutie of a mini horse... ...all us girlies loved playing with Rosie... ...the pullets are starting to lay...yay!!!... ...RIP Aslan(he lived a good, long betta life) and welcome Topaz... ...monitoring to make sure I am doing the canning correctly, LOL!... ...barnyard roosters canned for the winter for quick meals... ...the gallons of maple syrup we brought back from Kansas are now canned and preserved...canning is such a satisfying accomplishment when you see all the jars lined up on the shelf... ...picking her morning tea :)... ...the last few pictures of the guys' Quest part of their summer... ...we went over for the completion banquet and then enjoyed taking these two out for breakfas...

April's Springing Green

Hello :) Here is the picture trail of April's Springing Green tidbits...a bit late in getting it out, but it has been a busy May!  I know it'll be over in just a few days, but putting the April blog post together late is allowing me to enjoy the April tidbits again: reflecting and enjoying memories, so that's a plus to being late, lol!.... ...this aloe finally bloomed: a tall stalk with yellowish-green flowers that had a very small opening on the bottom... ...the 'just growing' garden... ...early morning quiet time in the backyard... ...strawberry cream home-ade popsicles...the purple layer just has some blue spirulina added to it, to make it pretty...the girls LOVED them!!... ...April Fools...LOL!!! ...blue milk(aka blue spirulina in the milk)... ..."home-ade" ice cream bars...cough, um...aka, chocolate-covered white soap bars...got at least one of them hook, line and sinker with these :D... ...4!!!!!  HOW???  Didn't we just bring her home from the ho...

September's Steppings

 Howdy :) September saw a lot of small things packed into one month...here is the snapshot trail of the month.  Once again, not all was caught on camera, not all the pics are snapped by me, and only positive moments are generally caught.  If you ever look at these pics and think: wow, their life isn't hard or have challenges or difficulties, how wrong that thought is!  It is just that the good and light moments are generally the ones caught...enjoy our September Steppings :)... ...we so enjoyed having this young man here for a bit...we enjoyed touring San Angelo... ...Fort Concho... ...Visitor Center along the Riverwalk... ...one of the many painted sheep... ...more games... ...swimming fun... ...while we were in San Angelo, Dottie calved a cutie: meet Badger... ...LOVIN' the pumpkins and gourds Kirk and his cousin brought back from Kansas!!... ...found their new homes while waiting to be used in cooking in the kitchen... ...some of Grandpa Kusler's glass cologne bot...
