September's Tidbit Palette
Howdy :)
September's Tidbit Pallete found Kirk starting his senior year, Jadon spreading his wings and starting to fly, the girls enjoying their childhood and adjusting to big brothers starting to fledge from the nest, our 22nd Anniversary, Kirk's 17th birthday, among many other moments...
...the girls found a turtle on the road and put it in a bucket. Big brother helped haul it to the pond with this whole 'train' of friendly farm animals :)...
...the turtle that is in the bucket :)...
...someone is begging for treats, LOL!...
...out walking and these two recognized us and came up for treats, LOVE it when the critters recognize you and also are tame enough that they want treats or petting!...
...love seeing this girl enjoy her riding lessons!...
...like clockwork: they know when feeding time is...
...WOW, a SENIOR!!!! Just how did we get here SO fast??? Not sure if I am a fan of this, but I do know I love this son!!!...
...this is Kirk when he was just a wee little fella...he was soooo cute and maybe a tad ornery looking :D...
...this beauty is from a wonderful friend and it found the perfect pot and place :)...
...the quakers LOVIN' the rain...
...cozied up to candles in the fireplace, listening to an audio-book while coloring on a rainy day...
...this one decided she wanted/needed to nap cuddled up to Mom on that rainy day on the front porch, press pause please :)...
...what a sweet surprise and home-ade gift in the mail from one of the girl's most favorite person...
...a thoughtful gift our church dropped off to help pass the healing time away...
...a 'get well' gift that has been enjoyed by both girls :)...btw, Keanna can no longer sit at the table with her casted leg, as the cast is harder than the wood and it was destroying the chairs :O!...her 'table' is now the fireplace with a blanket under her. We have moved our meal prayer and devotions to her spot for this season...
...we sold the goats...was gonna wait a
while before we bought any more mini cattle, and planned to do just that...well, when you learn of some good stock for sale for a reasonable price the week after you sold all the goats, you go ahead and buy some...these 4 minis will be coming home to Texas the first week of December. We are excited for them!...Kirk bought two, us one and the girls will share one...
...some swimming fun :)...
...Buddy enjoying some time with the girls...
...a Mother/Son date before he heads out...it was a great time of catching up and enjoying one-on-one time with him before he left for the fall...love you son!...
...heading to East Texas...poor Jadon, he left not feeling the greatest...he was getting over some 24 hour bug...
...Jason stayed for the Welcome Reception and was there as they put the search and rescue recruits into squads for the In-Processing...
...met someone he knew, which helped calm some nervousness...
...some pics of In-Processing: a few days of classes to mentally prepare for the mental and physical endurance challenges that will be gone through in this first phase, some pics of Receiving Night(R-Night), and the rubber meeting the road in the first part of this training. This course is considered a very high level of mental and physical endurance. Weak leaders cannot lead well under crisis and in rescue situations unless they have been through the 'fire' themselves.
...the 6-Hour hike is with a pack and double time(like a slow jog)...each 'hike' gets longer with the ultimate challenge of a Solo 24-Hour Hike...
...dental cleanings...someone did great again this time, but had to be holding big sister's hand...so sweet!...
...this furball LOVES Jadon and is definitely not sure about Jadon being gone...Sharkie vacuum is sweeping Jadon's room and he is watching it but would NOT move, LOL!!...
...this big sister: she is such a BIG help with her little sister! I LOVE her so much and am so very thankful for her!...
...Thank you Gma for sending these to help the time drift by...
...a cool early morning devotions on the front porch found this kitty wanting to snuggle close :)...
...Mittens is lost without Jadon...he acts like he isn't sure what to do with himself when he is in and has to be whereever someone is now...he used to never be this way...
...someone enjoying riding Rosie down the rock pile...
...this little gal is just about DONE with this cast...sadly, she has a few more weeks in it, and still has to be careful about bearing weight...but she did figure out how to ride her 4wheeler, LOL!...
...a fun school day...these guys gathered and enjoyed hanging out between online classes...thank you for having them in and the idea of doing this once in a while!...
...another pic of her and her 4wheeler with her bum leg....
...and this bum leg has seen us giving in waaaay more than we normally would to KeKe...she has been begging to hatch duckies...SO guess what?! We have an incubator of duck eggs from the duck brood below that will be hatching the last weekend in October...let me know if you want some :)...
...a picture of the back of a wagon that was being auctioned off, that my younger brother sent me a picture of because my Dad did the artwork on there years and years ago...pretty cool...
...I love my husband and am so very thankful for him...our anniversary weekend was a crazy busy weekend that was full of blessings, and in the middle of the busy blessings, he remembers our wedding day 22 years ago!...he is one of the best!!!...
...we have some of the greatest blessings of friends ever!!!! The one who sent home a box of Funions to brighten up KeKe's day made her super happy that lasted many times over and as she would go for a bag of Funions and always said, my friend(who is a lot older than KeKe) gave them to me!...friends should not have age limits, I believe this with all my heart...sister also loves them too :)...Thank You!...
...these two young men are training for a half marathon...I was having a quiet prayer time and coffee on the front porch early one morning and looked up and was like, oh someone is out running and then, OH, that is my boy and his good friend! :)...
...Awwwwww, SO cute!!! Janessa and one of her Kansas cousins that is her age when they were just half pints...
...we hosted another Logos Online Fellowship for Texas Area students, families and teachers...it was again so much fun and a blessing to see classmates come together and further friendships in person. It is even better when you have teachers show up, so fun!...
...the 5k starting out Kirk's birthday :)...
...and yes, he even answered a call from G'ma Rokey and talked to her while he ran a 5k ;)...
...yep, Dad joined in running too...
...and yes, Dad, did beat the birthday boy in this 5k :)...
...Happy 17th Birthday Kirk!!! We love you son and the man you are becoming. We love your kind, compassionate, honest, hard-working, cheerful, joyful, confident and capable spirit! We are privileged to call you son and are so very thankful for you!...
...celebrating with some desserts and great friends...
...that ball shot up out of nowhere :)...
...becoming a common view in our family...our sons are starting to fledge and Jason has been doing a LOT more traveling for work lately...which I don't care for, but God has a plan...
...beautiful sky ending to a wonderful day...
a lot of these photo credits go to various sweet friends or Kirk...
Blessings and praying to everyone as the weather cools, leaves turn and fireplaces get lit.
