Winds of March

 Hello All :)

The winds of March found us having company, scattered over the world during spring break, kidding goat kids, celebrating Good Friday and Resurrection, and many other windy tidbits of March...

...the skies...

...this flock of Whistling ducks, among Northern Shovelers and Buffleheads, have it figured out when we feed our ducks, lol!...
...a birthday party for a friend...
...my first loaf of Chia Sourdough loaf...LOVE it!...

...a homemade Matcha latte with coconut milk...one of the better matcha lattes I've had...
...starting to rain, no problem, we are covered :D...

...the middle cacti is from high in the mountains around Gunnison, CO...yes, it might of hitched a hike out!  The other two are from the Panhandle in Texas...I love having cacti and succulents that make me think of fun memories or great friends!...
...nephews were asking for a picture of the birthday cat...well, this birthday kitty did NOT like his picture taken for his birthday...his tail was twitching ferociously...it was quite comical...
...not only are the chairs used by two-legged they are also used by four-legged...
...bedtime reading and Bible stories on the front porch made this one happy...
...yep, this kitty is still playing sentry, just hoping for a door accidentally left open, lol!...

...why yes we are growing and LOVE our treats...
...come on, where are the treats :D...

...working on chores and feeding the steer across the road...
...yep, I am one of the sweetest notes, waiting for Nessa girl to come find me :)...

...Jadon spent part of spring break week with a couple of his friends from school classes in South Dakota with the family of one of them...he had a great time deepening these great friendships...

Kirk had the opportunity to join a team from our church and community that helps the Batwa people in Uganda. It was an amazing opportunity and experience that we are thankful he got to experience. He came back having gleaned and gained more than what he felt he gave. We are so grateful for the ones who have made the effort to go back year after year with a team to Kisoro...
...one of the team members and close friend that was on the team...it made us, as parents, feel more peaceful knowing there were some amazing team leaders going...it is very obvious that Kirk is more of a picture taker than his brother, who had the opportunity of going last year...here are the pictures he brought home...

...thanks and a huge shout out to this guy who coordinated everything and has a passion for returning year after year.  It has been a blessing to both our young men to travel with this guy's team and have their eyes opened to what another culture and country is like and to serve the local people there...

...on the return trip their trip was extended out over a day, as their flight out of Africa got delayed, which in turn made them miss their flight out of Turkey...so they had to hang out in Turkey for a day waiting for another flight out...Kirk said it ended up being interesting to get to see a bit of local culture in Istanbul...we were glad to have him safely back home, though...
...St Patrick's Day meal: corned beef, colcannon, guinness rye sourdough bread, matcha lattes, and vanilla ice cream with Irish fudge sauce...
...these two pusses...
...i spy you...
...yay!...the goats starting to kid...always a fun time of year...we could do without the nightly checks on
the does, lol...

...and on the way home a quick stop to see if a geocache could be located...
...then onto a Logos Online School fellowship...

...a charcuterie supper, scripture reading, and more, the Lord's supper/Maundy Thursday...
...love this Good Friday tradition...

...later in the day, we let the kids have fun with the eggs :)...

It's Grandparents Day at Cross Classical Academy. We are always so grateful and thankful for those who don't mind stepping in as 'grandparents' for our kiddos when their Kansas grandparents aren't able to be present...
