August's Heatwave
Hello All :)
August has been a heatwave! It has been so very hot and dry! Praying daily that rain will come to quench this dry and crusty landscape! August also saw Kirk and Jadon back home, some friends visiting and Janessa starting school, trying to stay cool and looking for the blessings and joy around. Here are some of August's Heatwave tidbits caught on camera...

...watering for our neighbors while they are gone and this little gal found that she LOVES this car! She is quite a good little driver! Took off like she has been doing it forever, lol :)...

...cuddling a little gal just waking from a nap for a bit and someone else thought he needed to get in on it too...too funny...
...um, yes, he just finished a plate of hummus with balsamic vinegar...never thought a cat would enjoy that combo!!!!...
...absolutely any way or where he can get loving, he will show up :)...
...lol, just enough space :)...
...what an exciting arrival! The yearbook for the boys' school arrived. Kirk was on the yearbook team, so he spent a lot of hours helping put this together...
...the tastiest gift that we enjoyed all sampling...
...home done ghee all canned up...
...scrumptious home-done cold brew with a healthy shaken fat foam...it has become a fast favorite this summer!...
...a Saturday morning devotion/coffee on the front porch with this sweet face...
...ah, that is where she went to after getting home...
...and she is still in her good clothes...but you know your mini horse friend just can't wait ;)...
...why yes, I know it's HOT out, but I want to go back to the mountains(she kept saying she was 'go to mountains')...I think we are all ready for the weather to get the memo to cool off and bring rain!...

...on the way to bring Jadon back home, two friends were picked back up at the airport for a visit...

...start of school for this young lady...I cannot believe she is in second grade already...we have gotten into a school rhythm at home much faster and better this year than we did last year...so very thankful for this blessing...

...riding lesson girls swim party...Janessa thoroughly enjoyed it...
...meet Shock, the new calf...and what a shock he was, when you are thinking the cow is 4 months with a calf! Her 2nd calf in 10 months...
...he is such a cutie...
...did I say how MUCH granola we can go through...another 4-gallon batch. It is often the breakfast and snack of choice for our teens and 7 year old...
...all of us girls did clay face masks one evening...so fun having two little cohorts in this!...
...this young man re-painted all the solid fence posts, gates, and corners of the pasture fence...he also consumed lots of that cold brew/healthy fat foam combo doing it too, lol... :)
...when Big Brother bought a new mattress and is working on swapping them it makes for a great indoor jumping pad :)...
...big brother also updated his room with a light set that syncs to music and voice inflections...lol, I'm glad they are in his room, although, I do agree it makes for a nice reading light at night ;)...
...what a fun package that arrived in the mail...dog and cat treats that Jason helps source some of the ingredients for...the furballs LOVE them!!!...
...all 4 of our cats loved them...
...homegrown duck nuggets and sliced pan-seared duck breast...marinated in a seasoning with cocoa and espresso powder with aged balsamic...absolutely tasty...
...thankful for these friends of Kirk's...
...picking up the small wood chunks for kindling...one wanted and was loving helping and one was not happy at all that she had to help...which one is which?...
...wheels...both of these gals LOVE anything that moves with wheels, and both are quite good drivers already...watch out, lol :D...
Blessings to all as schooling is starting up for many! Prayers for a year deep in learning and growth in character for all. See y'all around :)
