May's Shift
Hello Everyone :)
As May shifts from the school season to the summer season, we have wrapped up many things and some summer ones have started with more trickling in as the days shift more into summer. Here are May's Shift tidbits caught on snapshots...
...these young men joined Jason at the Petfood Forum in Kansas City for the week...it was fabulous that they got to travel with Dad and see many facets of the pet food industry...
...checking out the booths and chatting with people...
...Eek, we have another teen driver!!!! How can we have two old enough for this?!...
...hang on...and maybe quite literally, LOL! His driving has gotten much better than when this pic was snapped :)...

...awards ceremony at Cross Classical Academy for the 22/23 school year...
...field day and the last event for this year at CCA...
...finishing off with pizza...
...some trampoline and water fun and a warm day...
...Love, love these young men singing worship songs as they play the guitar and piano...
...feet rubs are pretty popular and loved ;)...
...a Japanese wood boat Kirk assembled...
...yep, just snacking :)...
...a park, a birthday party for sister's friend and actually liking the swings for the first time!...
...Cacti blooms...
...Diego is loving the snuggles he is getting...

...the wildflowers have been just gorgeous this spring...so breathtaking and beautiful...wishing they could stay all year...
...the garden is still thriving...it has just missed multiple hail storms, praise the Lord!...
...the pollinator corner garden...
...love the butterflies, but wish they would get the memo that I do use my parsley ALL the time for cooking and once they start in, it rapidly disappears...

...helping feed cows for a mentor friend and found this guy...
...the girls found one too, right outside the garage...Keke more than happily carried it in her lap in the stroller, as we relocated it to the pond...
...getting ready for church and these girls were balancing in giving each other rides on the back of this toddler-strength bike...
...Keke's face...LOL...she was very LOUDY telling Nessa to get on the back...
...walking into church and love this view and these people...
...a Dad/son competition to see who could do the most LIVE weighted pushups...
...hmmm, still going...
...finished mashing out with a little less weight...just fyi, Janessa weighs 60#s and KeKe 30#s...
...our flock of many breeds of chicks...
...yep, my favorite place is with my chickies...and yes, she will literally stay forever out with her chickies...
...why yes, we are bringing Smoky and Ray into the house...why not, they are just feathered friends...
...I LOVE helping Mom feed the goats and these goatees are my buddies...NO one else can get close to these babies, except KeKe....they think she is one of them :)
...a picnic-styled meal on the back patio for Ascension Day...pausing and reflecting on what it means...
...ah, cute duckies...three will stay and the rest are waiting for their ride to Kansas...
...until then, the kids love spending time with them...
...our three that we will keep will end up out here with our adult ducks on the pond...
...and you know, when the rains come and earthworms get pooled in pools of water, you have to have a rescue team to get them out and relocate to the garden :)...
...we got a couple gallons of earthworms relocated...
...checking on these two and giving them a few treats and, why of course, this cutie has to help herself to the treats too...
...checking the cows across the road and stopping at one of the ponds and enjoying the scenery with the sunset rays filtering through the trees and the stillness...the stillness was not as still as the water though with mosquitos on overload!...
...this bull is the tamest, sweetest, and calmest I think I have ever seen...
...this cutie is not scared to get dirty, lol:)...
...love these mornings with no school...love the extra read-a-loud time...it's one of my favorite of all things to do with my girlies...
...we were asked if we would be interested in this miniature horse that is broke and great with the girls...it was an unexpected addition to our farm and crew, but a super sweet blessing that has brought lots of joy and fun for the girls...meet Cinderella/Rella/Rosie...she came at a great time with the start of summer...
...when we put her in the pasture with the gate shut, she will pace and whinny wanting into the backyard. So, our backyard gate has been left open so she can come and go as she pleases...she pleases to stay more than go out :)...
...just hanging out...
...riding over with Daddy and Keke to check the cows...
...why yes, a great evening of washing her and braiding her mane and tail and then going for a walk...
...big brother helping clean her feet out...
...and why yes, I have decided I need to check up on my humans quite often :)...
...Way to go Kirk!!! He had another advanced belt test and passed for his confirmed...
...proud of you Kirk...
...practicing cutting hair like Mommy does on the guys :)...
...Woohoo! These guys are just finishing a 7K! Super proud of them! They both had great times! Jadon came in 5th overall! Proud of you Jadon and Kirk!...
...it is always fun when you have friends carpool and run too!!...
...pausing and reflecting on those that have fallen so we could enjoy freedom with a fun bbq meal for Memorial Day and storybook...
Looking forward to summer and the memories and growth that will be made. Summer is looking a bit crazy for our crew, but it is a season and I know we will come through with growth in areas and memories made. We are purposing to enjoy each moment and each and every friendship! Love and blessings to all!
