Marches of March

Hello to all :)

The Marches of March had a mix of blessings and memories made.  The Marches of March found us traveling to Kansas over the boys' spring break, for a short few days.  It was a decision that was planned not too far in advance.  We also battled a sick bug for awhile among other happenings that the pictures will share some of...

...a rock ready for spring to grace a planter of plants, be used as a paperweight or door stop or many other uses...

...some other 'spring' rocks...

...going on a walk and yes, she is riding on the front edge of the stroller, much to the youngest's delight :)...

...wow, what an amazing treat and suprise from a sweet neighbor...home made Coconut Cream Pie...it was delicious :)...

...why yes, when you read a book with the recipe at the end you make the cake together with Mom :)...

...want to share with me? ;)...

...how can he look so grown up?!?!...

...a Kansas sunset over a cold, empty field waiting for spring and a new crop to grace it's surface...

...a belated tradition of G'ma Meyer's Christmas Pancake bar...it is a simple, but loved meal the kiddos enjoy...in this house they definitely do not get all the toppings with their pancakes :)...

...Christmas stockings for the two youngest of our kiddos from Meyer grandparents...

...Keke found it was funner to bombard Nessa's stocking gifts, lol!...

...she wasn't too sure what to do...she will definitely get it figured out in the years too come :)...

...coloring a few eggs and hiding/finding them...another tradition enjoyed with this set of grandparents...

...G'pa Meyer's home made jerky...YES, please!!!  it is some of the best and the youngest agrees...there was no taking it away from her, she had a TIGHT grip on it :)....

...enjoying time at the farm with G'pa Rokey and cousins...

...riding in the tractors is always a loved highlight at the Rokey grandparents...

...the man-cubs enjoyed bowling with some their cousins on the Rokey side...

...enjoying playing with some of the younger Rokey cousins...

...chess challenge...

...playing with cousins...

...these two cousins were born five days apart :)...

...some of our second man-cub's cooking in the kitchen...they were very tasty...

...yep, she likes playing with Lincoln Logs; aka, tearing down what someone else has already built, lol!...

...a peek into a moment when we were just plain done...
...these moments are just as true and real as the 'good' moments that get predominantly captured...
...to be honest, I am not even sure who snapped this pic or why, but it was on the camera roll, so decided why not; as this is just as real as all the 'good' ones...honestly, the Marches of March had too many of these types of moments...it was a challenging month, but through it all we felt God's presence and sustaining grace...

...this plant is coming home to be added to this plant-loving man-cub's collection...

...this second son's room is a plant haven...
...it is also the room in the house with the cleanest air :D...

...a weekend in San Antonio for a wedding and we happened upon a Farmer's Market, while killing time before the wedding and picked up a couple of plants...
...here is a variegated String of Pearls...such a pretty plant...

...and then a cute succulent for Mom...

...LOL, can you guess WHO was here???...
...the littlest one in the house LOVES sneaking into this man-cub's room and 'playing' with his plants, which is NOT appreciated in the least!...
...the first three magnets finished...

...Poetry Chapel, Math Market and Grandparents Day at Cross Classical Academy...

...Janessa's group...

...Janessa receiving the 'Compassion' award from her teacher...

...a special thanks to this blessing of a couple for stepping in as our 'Texas Grandparents'...

...the second man-cub is missing here, but he did go with us and was there...

...a couple of cute, new succulents...

...I enjoyed reading over this man-cub's biology project...

...a hotel breakfast is just better with Texas shaped waffles, right?...

...the weekend in San Antonio for a wedding found us with a little extra time that we enjoyed doing a couple things as a family.  We stopped by a Farmer's Market at The Pearl, and then in Fredricksburgh we stopped at the Wildseed Farm.  If you like wildflowers, its totally worth stopping at! And then we did a random fun thing and did an Escape Room.  We would definitely do an Escape Room again!  It was neat to see how each of our brains picked up on different clues and thought through things differently...

...love this crew...

...youngest and oldest...

...thanks to Jason babysitting Keke in the van while I got to do the Escape Room with these three :)...

...matching outfits :)...

...yes, we love sidewalk chalk :)...

...this one would LIVE outside ALL the time, if we let her :)...

...the last day of March, after everyone was in bed, found this Mama prepping a few things for April Fool's...many years ago, I started doing something for April Fool's, just to make the monotony of the school year have a perk close to its end...it has become a tradition now to see if I can surprise my kiddos in some way or form...
...mini cereal boxes with the bags all switched up and super glued back shut...

...blue spirulina, added to the milk to make it 'blue', lol!...
...one of the kiddos, did not think this one funny at all ;)...

...and you know, home made BrownE's are the best, right?! LOL, maybe if they were Brownies and not Brown Es :D...

Have a great rest of the month :)
