The 2-in1 of March and April
Hello to all :)
March and April are both being rolled into one. Both months were filled with many things and some big changes. Keanna Joy arrived on April 2nd, before I got the March blog post done; hence, March and April are getting combined into one blog post. Besides Keanna arriving, Jason also felt God calling him to accept another job offer, so he resigned at the job he had been at for many years and has started a new job and venture with another company. Here are some of the months' tidbits, just be forewarned, with baby arrival and 2-in-1 it is lengthy and filled with lots of pics... :)
...big brother and sister...
...'groceries'...the fur-ball is kind of cute ;)...
...some of the last does to kid...we have LOTS of goat babies running around, lol!...
...a possum problem, became 'not' a possum problem...between this young man and a duo dog team(Kip and Choco) I think they eradicated 7-9 possums...
...one side of our culvert was taken out during the night, one night, by a wreckless driver...how they actually drove off all in one piece, is still somewhat puzzling, its amazing the vehicle didn't roll and go through the pasture fence(these pics don't show just how much damage was actually done)...
...Succotash, the cutest goat kid...
...I love Resurrection time...reflecting on the ultimate love and sacrifice and new life...
...I asked her what she wanted to do one last time, just her and me, before baby K arrived...she wanted to get Bubble Teas and go get a foot pedi...
...Daddy/daughter out biking...
...Jadon's spring break found Janessa being his side-kick...they could be found doing legos together or listening to audio books...I love this!...
...we swapped kiddos for an evening with some friends...our boys went to our friend's house and their girls came to our house, it was a fun evening for all :)...
...micro kite flying...super tiny kite, but some mighty big fun with its LONG tail up there flying...
...the Black Copper Maran rooster from KS...he is a beautiful rooster and it Kirk's pet...
...this young man, has done great in martial arts this spring...he has passed two belt tests and continues to enjoy Tae Kwon Do...
...our baker and cooker, made a recipe from the Redwall series, Root Pie, and it was delicious...
...Kirk loves doing tie-dye shirts...he makes them for people...if you have a specific design, color and shirt size, he would be happy to make you a shirt...just let him or me know...
...Keanna Joy arrived April 2, 2021 at 8:28 am, weighing 7#s 5oz and was 19 1/2" long...
...we were so blessed to have great friends willing to help out as we were in the hospital...God truly blessed us and took care of us in this way!...the kids were able to come into the hospital, one at a time to see Keanna, that was also another blessing :).

...the first week we were home, we were blessed to have G'ma Rokey come help out for a few days...she helped shuttle boys around, clean, grade, meals and cooked up some foods for the freezer...the evenings often found her snuggled up with Keanna, enjoying some baby snuggles...
...and she is OUT :)...
...she is stealing our hearts...
...I have LOVED every one of my babes' baby feet! Baby feet are so cute :)...
...those kissable cheeks, lol :)...
...sweet dreams...
...this quilt was handmade as a baby gift for Keanna, by one of Jason's co-workers...what a special gift this was and it goes so well in the girls' room...
...Janessa adores her little sister...
...when I am feeding Keanna, this fur-ball is often found curled up right here, when he gets a chance to get in the room, lol :)...
...mommy and Keanna snuggles...
...what a sweet, bright, beautiful bouquet of pink roses from our neighbor...they graced our counter with beauty and love, as a welcome home from the hospital...
...fishing with Daddy one evening at our neighbor's pond...she was thrilled...
...this cat, LOL!!! He has an affinity for balloons and will play with them for a long time...he REALLY liked this one because it had a string on it and carried it around the house for a long time, like a proud puppy dog :)...
...beauty of the sunrise...
...there is something about Texan wildflowers gracing the countryside in the spring...I love it!
...some new wee ones on our place...baby Blue Laced Barnevelders and Golden Laced Wyandotte pullets and laying ducklings...yes, we are trying our hand at raising a few ducks for laying eggs, we will see how it goes ;)...
...when G'ma was here right after Keanna was born, she ignited a hobby of painting rocks with this boy...here are some of his first creations...he has gotten so good at painting rocks. His latest ones are amazing...we will share a glimpse of them when the May blog comes around...

Hoping this finds everyone well and winding down with school and gearing up for the summer. We are ready for our summer break from school! The boys have plans and schedules for the summer, but our family travel plans this summer are pretty quiet. We will just enjoy life at our home, enjoying continuing to adjust to new life in our family. Stop in and say hello if any of your summer travel plans bring any of our friends or families from up North to Texas.
Love and blessings to all!
