May's Color's

Hello to everyone :)
Our May seemed to fly by quickly, but through it there were many colors that shaded in our life throughout the month.  It seemed we have enjoyed God's beauty through some blooms, enjoying time in nature, last days of school for the 19/20 school year, and some new fluffy, cute chicks to hatch out again...
...Kirk has become our Orchid whisperer, this is the second time he has gotten this Orchid to bloom and it now has a baby plant started.  When it gets big enough he is looking forward to having two orchids to care for.  This one just got a bigger pot :)...
...these two have been enjoying going on walks, with an adult ;)...the hound didn't do so hot at first on the leash, but has quickly caught on...
...Cacti are such a spiny plant but can show forth such splendor with their blooms!  I have come to LOVE cacti even with all their spines!  This one arrayed God's beauty one night, after being watched during the day for days because it was close to blooming.  It was a gift from God to catch it in bloom, as I thought it would bloom in the day time.  This barrel cactus blooms only at night and the bloom only lasts the duration of nightfall.  I stepped outside after dark to check on something else and this met me instead.  God does pay attention to sometimes the smallest desires of our interests.  The first two pics are during the dark and the third one is at sunrise, about an hour or two later it was all shriveled up, but it declared such beauty while it bloomed...

...for all our Kansas friends and family a pic of some wild Prickly Pear cactus blossoms...
...I am excited to start an Angel Wings Cactus and see if I can get it to bloom :)...
...another, unusual bloom that is beautiful in its own way...

...hummingbirds and orchard orioles have loved these Palo Verde blooms...
...Hungarian Coffee Cake ready for Kirk's L7 last class time for 19/20 school year.  It was a time to taste delightful recipes from around the world and return school books...
...these wonderful signs and encouragement awaited the boys' as they returned books and said bye to their classmates for the year...

...Nessa's 'friends' all snuggled in :)...
...model car, truck and airplane building...

...her 'horse' for the day-lol! :)...
...one of Kirk's sunflowers...
...Monarch, the Black Copper Maran chick we hatched out and is Kirk's pullet... :)...
...Kirk has started making tie-dye shirts again this summer :)...
...this puzzle was from my Grandma Meyer...I put it together with her once when she was still alive.  I decided to put it together for the second time...it brought back so many memories and I am thankful I saved this puzzle for so long and finally decided to pull it out for a challenge. It was fun to put together, albeit I stayed up WAY too late, too many nights in a row-lol!
...we hatched out chicks again this month...this time under two hens that decided they wanted to be broody...we set 24 eggs from a friend and had 22 hatch...a pretty good hatch rate!  They are the cutest little balls of fluff and have been fun to watch the hatching process and take off with their momma hens...

...the hens are jointly raising them and get along quite nicely...

...we had a thunderstorm sweep through one evening and this little chick got caught in the torrential rain and was chilled to the bone and nearly dead when we found it...it got thoroughly blow dried, wrapped in towels, blanket, and cuddled with Nessa's stuffed animals until it started moving around and cheeping then we returned it to its momma hen...spoiled chick :)...
...a Sunday afternoon out on some ranchland, enjoying fishing and being out in nature...
...sweet smiles and excited...
...someone cannot wait to get her pole in the water :)...

...the boys and Jason ended up with a swim in the pond before heading back home :)...
Hoping this finds everyone enjoying the flow of spring to summer!
Love and Blessings to all :)
