October's Tones

Hello to all!
Hoping this finds everyone's October tone's having ended with beauty and grace.  We celebrated a couple of birthdays and God's continued grace, mercy and love continues to continually deepen our roots in Him!

...Cross Classical Academy Lake Days...
...our second year to attend and this time the weather was decent for the dualathon to take place.  ...here the group is getting ready to take off...
...two friends...
...one fine day we went biking with a friend and enjoyed racing over this bridge and rescuing the turtle, below, off the middle of the road.  We then biked with him for quite a ways and let him go by water...

...the boys LOVE weapon sparring at martial arts...
...one of their favorite classes of martial arts...

...thanks to G'ma Rokey for the birthday gifts in the mail...
...not a true fire going yet, but definitely a cozy ambiance, blanket and books which equals relaxing and cozy!!...
...she drew a picture for our sweet neighbor and wanted to deliver it all by herself :)...
...one of her favorite snacks...and yes, she will eat them all!...
...while sitting out front reading my Bible and doing devotions, Nessa came around the corner VERY slowly with her hands behind her back.  I knew something was up but decided to ignore her until she approached me.  She finally stood before me and in a very quiet voice says, "Momma, there was an ant and I had to smash him real hard, but I didn't know Slate's catfood dish would break, really I didn't know!  I am sorry Momma."  She says this as she pulls the pieces from behind her back and gave them too me.  I asked her if she got the ant and she shook her head yes...LOL, talk about trying to keep a straight face...
...our first fire in the fire pit...cooking dove breast and campfire pies...

 ...YUM...
...Janessa said she had her kids buckled in and ready to go--LOL!!  Her imagination has just exploded and you never know what will be coming next :)...
...a girl, her goats and her dog...
...she is pretending to be a dog this particular day and as I was walking past her she said, "Momma, these doggy treats are REALLY good, this is my fourth one. Kip and Chief really like them too."    I am like WHAT?!
...WOW, I CANNOT believe this young man is 14!!  We love him so much and are thankful for his strong personality(God will use it mightily someday), handyman skills, love of hunting/fishing/leatherworking, protectiveness of his family...we are truly blessed to get to do life with him as part of this family clan!...
...eating out with some of his friends...

...the funnest part was the backyard football with Dad and some of his friends after supper...
...our early Saturday morning quiet devotion time...this sweet girl joined us with her own coffee from her own kitchen :)...
...my baking helper is actually quite good when it comes to baking...
...she loves it when I ask her to help cook...
...Pumpkin Curry Soup and Pumpkin Pie are the menu for this cooking day...
...shooting clay pigeons with a friend...
...What?!  Another birthday?!  How can she be 4, when it seems like just yesterday I held her as a TINY newborn and marveled at the miracle of life!  She is such a blessing to life with her contagious joy, sparkle, compassion, hugs, love of animals and her imagination!....
...here again is the junk cereal for the year-LOL!  But she did enjoy it!...
...a couple of special friends blessing her on her birthday...

...she wanted to have a couple of friends/families in for her birthday"like my brothers did"...
...so we enjoyed celebrating another year for her with some great friends...

...and we used up the left over candy from Kirk's pinata(as I had gotten too much for his)...
Blessings and love to all as you are well into November by now...praying that God's peace, strength, and thanksgiving will be sought after this month of November's autumn. :)
