Buds of May
Hello family and friends!
The buds of May were finishing up school, a camping night for the menfolk, happenings around home, a trip to Kansas and many, many other buds....
...beautiful Texas sunset!...
...the Robotics competition at Kohler...
...Jadon, his teammate and coach...
...menfolk camping overnight with some other menfolk...
...cooking over the fire...
...hot pockets...
...bread in the Dutch Oven...
...part of breakfast cooking, yummy...
...and...stuck getting out from camping, because it rained SO much during the night...
...while the menfolk were camping overnight, us two 'girlies' had a fun night with a surprise cake from Daddy that showed up and sleeping in the living room...
...a yummy Mocha cake that Janessa could have from Unrefined Bakery...
...our 'camping' in the living room included memory card games and reading books until late, late!!...
...the ending of Kindermusik for Janessa...she LOVED Kindermusik and her teacher! :)...
...our small garden has had some produce and is growing! We all love having a garden and miss a huge one in some ways, but we are very thankful for the small one that we got in this year!...
...broccoli getting close to harvesting...
...this "two-legged, non-feathered robin" that cleans the patch of strawberries and is the answer to WHY I haven't been able to find any RED strawberries...she very proudly told me she checks them everyday and that they are VERY GOOD-LOL :)...
...future yum...
...exciting for these beauties later this summer...
...Jadon feeding cows with a mentor friend and checking the new calf over...
...Friday family night choice was going out for Gelato/Sorbetto at the Turtle...I think it is being enjoyed...
...many meals at the picnic table with the beautiful weather!...
...Sebastian hauled this fella into the garage and was enjoying antagonizing him...the snakey fella was over 2 feet...
...helping Daddy shred the pasture weeds down...
...working with leading "her" goat...which is actually Jadon's goat, Cry, but who keeps track? LOL!...
...the wildflowers have been absolutely gorgeous this spring...
...reds/yellows...
...solid yellow...
...and there were many other hues that weren't captured; pinks, purples, blues, etc...
...bike riding and we realized that she brought her pink toy BB rifle to go hunting she said...hhmmm, I think there was a miscommunication of what bike riding is, LOL :)...
...read, run, recite awards at CCA...
...end of year fun event at Seals Gymastics with the CCA group...
...these two cuties getting in on the Field Day festivities at CCA...
...CCA Logic group's last lunch together for the year...
...his homeade chocolate bar...

...this bull snake was getting eggs from a robin nest in the tree did NOT disguise himself enough....Papa saw him and it wasn't long and he was history...it was a HUGE bull snake!...
...yep, everyone got brave and had to try to lift him up :)...

...another walk and rock throwing with some nephews and sis-in-law...

...getting ready to walk cross country from the cabin to Ma/Pa Meyer's house...

...just crossed an electric fence that had quite the shock!...
...it zapped mega big and created quite the jolt, just thankful Janessa didn't feel it!...
...these two orneries thought it was quite hilarious, but if the tables were turned, I would of been chuckling too :)...
...found a Meadowlark nest with an intruder egg...
...Kirk willingly removed the Cowbird egg from this nest...
...hope this finds everyone having a great start to their summer and their June findings a blessing!
