Springing of March

Hello to our family and friends!
Hoping you found March springing into spring for y'all :)
Here are a few snapshots of the Springings of March...
...Grandparents Day/Math Market/Art Show & Sale at CCA...
 ...Jadon's Math Market table...
 ...Kirk's Math Market table...
...we were thankful that this mentor friend was willing to step in as 'Grandpa' for the boys...both Jadon and Kirk were really glad they had a 'grandpa' there!...
...a beautiful spring bouquet from my best friend, aka my hubby, on a week that was literally one of the roughest weeks of solo parenting.  We've had rough before, but this one topped everything so far...I'm glad its past and have no desire to repeat it anytime soon ;P....
...we made cookie jars to start off our spring break.  We made almost 2 dozen and delivered to our neighbors and a few close friends...it was a fun project doing it together for others...
...then another day we went to Heritage Homestead and spent the day there, watching demonstrations, eating lunch there, and seeing many things...I'd highly recommend it for a day trip or outing, it's full of interesting things to watch and try...
...here we are at the Forge...
...Kirk wanted to check out the basket weaving, it has him intrigued...
...in front of the mill...inside they had some YUMMY Gingerbread cookies to try, fresh out of the oven...
...then we took another day and went to the Creation Evidence Museum and Dinosaur Valley State Park...they were both neat!  The Dinosaur Valley State Park was SO packed with people though.  We did go hiking, but it was like kind of following a line of people; beautiful scenery, but I'd rather go when there wasn't so many other people there...
...here the kids are in front of the Ark Display at the Creation Evidence Museum...
...a trail along the river at Dinosaur Valley State Park...
...Kirk has taken to helping cook some in the kitchen...here is one of his completed meals...
...the help has been appreciated much!!...
...the season of Spring, new life and awakening...
...the 'War of the Computer' with this cat!! He gets promptly moved and next thing he will be right back to sleeping on the computer, this goes on, until this momma in this house has had it and boots this kitty outside!  Lol!...
...a hawk has gotten a lot of our hens, so this one has decided that it might be a good idea to get real friendly with the humans and try to move in...LOL...this was where she was perched upon opening the door to garage...
...the next day I was cleaning in the bedrooms and kept thinking I heard a hen clucking...well, I walk into the kitchen to this hen(kids have named her Sunny) walking around the kitchen as if she belonged there...the garage door had been left cracked open and she helped herself right in...she was promptly moved right back OUTSIDE!  I don't mind the boys' two cats in during the day for a little but I draw the line with chickens-LOL!! ;)...
...these Care Bear toys I had as a little girl and played all the time with them...Janessa is following those steps as she loves playing with them, too...
...our small backyard garden is slowly getting going...the apple trees are blooming now too, which is SO exciting ;)....

...Jadon and Kirk wanted goat milk to drink, as we used to milk dairy goats in KS, so this is the doe they have started milking and they are enjoying having goat milk in the fridge to drink again :)...
...these birds are almost ready for butchering...
...Jadon and Kirk challenged each other to do an 8 minute ice bath challenge....
...they both made it...if they are going to challenge each other to things, I don't mind picking up ice for an ice bath challenge...they said they felt very alert after it....I'm thinking maybe I need to prescribe this when they are sleepy and can't focus on school-LOL ;)...

...We had the fun of being 'flocked'...the kids thought it was great and lots of fun to have a flock of flamingos in our yard for a few days :)...
Hoping this finds everyone well and looking forward to the continuation of things growing, greening up, budding, blooming and life awakening after the slumber of winter.
Blessings and love to all!
