February's Chill
Hello to all!
Hoping this is finding everyone staying warm and cozy, especially family and friends from up north!! We have so enjoyed the milder winter in Texas :)
The snapshots here will tell show you a glimpse and part of the our month, but they are always of the positive great moments....there are plenty of the "other" moments that don't get captured. I like to remember the great ones, but the other moments do teach and are real in life :)
....we enjoyed the blessing of hosting the 7th grade boys for Heartbeat Weekend! It was a great time of purpose, instruction and learning more about God. The 7th grade leader and this group of boys were great! We were truly blessed by hosting them!...
...in some of the free time from study they did some mission work and then wore off energy playing fuseball, rope swinging in the barn, night football games, night tag games, sleeping bag stair sliding, basketball, and gathering around for meals...
...Jadon's robotics competitions saw him in San Angelo, with his team taking first place...
...the robot the team built...
...the team at the San Antonio Stock Show competition, where they placed in the top few...
...Jadon enjoyed the challenges and loved the team work it took...
...G'ma Rokey came and spent a week here and then G'pa Rokey joined her at the end of the week...we enjoyed their visit and all the help G'ma gave!
...playing doctor...
...G'pa reading missy books...she LOVES to read books or have them read to her, it is one of her favorite pastimes :)...
...Love this new painting for the "old grain bin door frame", thanks to Marla Beyer Studio for doing a great job!...
...baby chicks...they are loved while they are cute, the majority are broilers, so will become ugly quickly, but will be very tasty ;D...
...these two orphan babies think they are human!!! Seriously they do!...
...doing some school outside...
...February's festive mantel...
...I felt a need to show my family a little extra special way that I love each one of them, as the past several months have been very stressful and I am afraid I have taken my stress out at times on the ones I love the most...
...i decided to do extra special things for Valentine's Day this year...
...making clay "cookies"...
...face masks with a sweet Kansas friend...
...so thankful this sweet friend and her hubby could visit us, as we enjoyed the time with them :)...
...someone i thought was 'napping'...I decided to go check her since she was 'napping so long"...lol...well, this was her "nap"...
...we had a flurry of snow...Kirk gathered it up out of the guttering on the house to make his first Texas Snowman ;)...
...on a colder day, this is the way to do school; a fire, snuggled in the sleeping bag, your cat cuddled in, and school a way...:)
...oh, these kids hav been SO much fun!!! It will be a sad day when it comes for them to head to market!...
...ooops...the door got left open again; much to the adults' irritation, but 4 and 2 legged kids' delight-lol :)...
...where there is a will there is a way! ....
...LOL, determination of the will...this kid's back feet were actually not touching the ground :D...
...the first set of triplets...they were so weak when they were born we thought they were going to die, but they are rallying around...
...Janessa loves these orphan kiddos...well...as everyone else does too, because they are so loveable!...
Hoping this sees March bringing spring in for everone!
Praying blessings and love your way ;)
