January's Beginnings of 2019
Howdy Y'all!
Hoping this finds everyone staying healthy and warm ;)
Here are a few snapshots of the more candid moments of January's beginnings.
...New Year's Day found us cutting wood...
...the kids loved riding the ranger/mule WAY more than cutting wood, but they had to work to play...
...we worked all as a family team, both adults loved the wood cutting...
...someone got really cold checking the deer feeders after we were done cutting wood, so she stole mommy's coat and mommy stole daddy's vest-lol :)...
...New Year's Day evening we had a fun game evening at some friends' house...
...many games were enjoyed...
...Jason took Jadon hunting...
...sadly, they didn't see any whitetails, but still enjoyed their time then hunting for hogs...
...the lone rabbit from the evening hunt :)...
...we watched the lunar eclipse, it was pretty amazing in person, but pictures do not do anything to portray the beauty of it...
...this cat and his love for this boy, its quite something-lol :)...
...he just had to sit on Kirk's lap while he practiced piano...
...Kirk helping play a multiple duet of Amazing Grace for chapel worship...
...this swing...
...it is SO loved by the kids...
...Janessa has NO fear of climbing the stack of hay and leaping off into the air, as she wraps her legs around the rope. It made this mommy's heart about stop the first time I saw my 3 year old do this, as I was coming into get hay for the goats and had no idea she had started doing this by herself. Only one time I've witnessed her miss her leg hold, but she showed us she will HOLD on with her hands until it slowed...she might of frantically been screaming, but she did it...
...she loves to help chore, so brother rigged up a "sled" for her to help feed hay to the goats...
...a warm, sunny day we had some kite fun!...
...Janessa flew this one for a bit, then started hollering that the wind and kite was taking her away-lol...
...we've been kidding goats in, and what fun and excitement all the babies are! These are pics of just a few of the does that have kidded. We have a few more does to kid yet, before we are done. We do have 2 bottle babies, as 1 doe died...but they are doing well now and becoming quite the pets for the kids...
...this steer, Money or Mo, is such a ham--he loves to get attention :D...
...Jadon's robotic team, the Abolishers, took 1st place at the San Angelo Stock Show competition...
...he loves his belt buckle :)...
Wishing you health and warmth for February's winter chill.
Blessings and love to all :)
