July's Summer Heat Waves
Hello Everyone!
We have had a busy round of July's summer heat waves in our tidbit happenings...here are a few snapshots of them :)
Kayak pontooning and fishing....
Fourth of July...setting off some fireworks!
Checked out the festivities of the Riverfest at Riverside Park on the 4th...bounce houses, vendors, river races, and some of the best herbal tea by Tea2Go!
A game of badminton!
Cheering on from her horsey :)
Sprinkler fun on a hot day....
Kiddie pool that is cooling on a hot day :)
So, when she can't go outside to play with this, with water....she just decided to drag it through the back door, to the living room and set it up as a "dry" swimming hole--whatever suits her! :D
Kirk's clay duck he finished in art...
...some other creations...
...smiling while sweeping!!!
...still working on getting a handle on this sweeping thing! ;)
When someone decides to use cooking spray to coat her head in the middle of the day, she finds herself in this way :D
A long shot of decaf home roasted coffee bean espresso paired with DF/GF dark chocolate black bean brownies...taste of heaven!
Love these bookworms!!!!!
Trick Roper event for the summer reading program at the Brownwood Library...tangling them all up;D
A two kid date to Fiesta Filipino to try some Bubble Tea w/ coconut milk!
Mommy/son date to the Lyric Theatre to watch the live production of Oliver Twist Musical...it was an amazing performance!
Our start to a 'new' kind of garden! It is one day old here and we are looking forward to the enjoyment of its production in the future!
Enjoying swimming on a hot Sunday afternoon :)
Enjoying her first fruit popsicle!
Beautiful sunset--minus the power lines ;)
We did school all through the summer and finished the end of July. With doing few week long day camps...this is how you found one doing school at 6am!!! WooHoo-now to a month break, before starting back strong in September!
A day in Summer Scholars camp...they both loved it!
Another day found them getting a pic with the mascot!
Bench outside of the library...as we were walking past it, we were like "we've been here for a few months and haven't snapped a pick with this statue that fits our family of reading books so well"!
Sawa's Japanese Cuisine...sushi was so good!
This is the tower garden at 3 wks old...
...and our first small harvest, but we are getting SO excited!
Jadon and Kirk had roles in the Star Quest play at Coggin Church and thoroughly enjoyed all the rehearsals, fitting for costumes and then the play itself. It was a great experience for them and they would do it again in a heartbeat.
This sums up these heatwaves of our tidbits of July folks :) Blessings and see you around sometime in the blazes of August!

Please tell us more about your garden! That's so interesting!
