June's Unfolding Blooms....
Hello family and friends!
We are enjoying June's unfolding blooms. We are still thick into school and will be until the end of July. With taking off for KS trips, mission team to Haiti, and with coming to TX last fall put our start date at the end of October for the '16-'17 school year, but we definitely have an end goal of the last of July--hooray!
So, along with school the boys have enjoyed several different day camps here...both boys have enjoyed these alot!
Here are some tidbit pictures of the unfoldings....
Here is the African Drumming camp they took, which explored the people, history, foods and culture of Senegal, Africa. They did a presentation at the end of the week with some of the music they had learned and shared some of the popular foods-Fun!
That was GOOD!!!
Game on....
Helping unload groceries! This bag full of bananas was determinedly drug in from the van by this little girl who grunted and groaned as she did it, but all with a big smile on her face!
The cat that adopted us, Ginger, had this litter of kittens....but instead of keeping them in the alleyway across the street like she did last time....she decided to move them right on over to us and they were cute and fun, until they made their permanent sleeping quarters in the van engine. They took a ride or two before we realized what was going on....one stop was the swimming pool and we ended up having to take them back home once we got there and they started meowing and we realized we had stow-a-ways on board!
....this then became a typical scene when we needed to go somewhere! After a few times of being late to places, we found good homes for all of them! :)
Jadon and Kirk helping feed cows of a good friend of ours....they love helping out with this!
First time sporting "piggy sprouts" :D.....
Using up one of our "Kids Bowl Free" coupons...janessa loved "helping" her brothers!
First time EVER painting....and she loves doing it!
So, this is her "new horse"....
~what is another mans garbage, may be another's prize~ :)
She has been making "horsey" sounds and doesn't want the trash bag to go to its rightful place!
Dinosaur Valley State Park did a presentation at the Brownwood Library...
Meal with friends :)
Two cuties, all dressed up :)
I heard water running....and thought I'd left the faucet on....NOPE, someone just learned how to climb onto counters! Watch out!
Boys loving their Bible covers...
An evening walk....father and daughter....
One BIG strawberrry!
When the sprinklers turn on...it means it is automatically a water park, right?!
Butterfly beauties...
'Rattlesnake ugliness :O....
At Jason's coworker's wedding...the challenge of seeing who can hold their hand in the ice the longest!
Thanks to some great friends, who invited us to sit with them at the rodeo, we had a front row seat, that the boys loved. One of the funnest events was the Calf Scramble at the end they said....although, it was pure gooey mud...so you can only imagine what their shoes were like!
Thankful for permission to go fishing at this pond...it has provided some great fishing and the boys have loved it and loved having two of their TX friends join them one time :)
The Moving Vietnam War Memorial Wall was in Brownwood...we enjoyed walking through and talking about it and reading names, and being at the opening ceremony and fly over.
A cheery bouquet on this day.....
....and ended this day with a yummy meal for two....
....with this view!
See you all around in July's full waves of heat!
Love and blessings until then :)
