Trails and Paths Through May....

Hello Everyone!
The paths of May were enjoyable and fun with some true 'Kansas' styled storms thrown in!
Here are some glimpses of the trails and paths through May.....

So, we have been roasting our own coffee beans; here is a cup of espresso from some of our recent roasted beans....the batches have been consistently getting better and better ;)
Everyone one doing school or 'school'...we like to be with the big kids!
 Sprinkler and trampoline fun!
This is what we often look like at 6am in the morning....we never sleep in...NEVER!!
So, we tootle in and out the open back door and love playing around outside and get all excited about the birds on the fence, as the day gets started! :)
And here is the feeding frenzy that she loves watching....

Another 'unexplained' selfie that happened to appear on my phone ;D
One of the FIRST bows she has left in her hair....
Our duplex neighbors are moving and have passed on many things to Janessa, she has loved everything...here is a plastic shopping cart, that when she isn't pushing it loaded with groceries off my shelves or her toys, she likes being pushed in it!

She loves eating at the table better than her high chair!
So, this is where she disappeared to....again...:)
Ginger, the cat that adopted us, had her kittens in the neighbors bushes...they are very well loved and very tame!

 Kisses for this one ;)
Birthday festivites for a friend at the lake and finished off with campfire goodies :)

Frontier Days at Brownwood Lake State Park....

An old ball game...above-Janessa had to get in on the fun too ;P
Buffalo Soldiers...great presentation!

Our visit from Joni and Cole(Jason's aunt and cousin)...lots of fun!  They did bring Kansas weather with them for sure :D
This is our day at Enchanted Rock State Park...a place we will never get tired of for sure!
At the top of the Enchanted Rock!
Alas, I forgot the baby carrier, I use to hike with Janessa...SO, I got to tote her by my arms hiking this day...I don't think I'll forget the baby carrier again ;P
 The view stretches for MILES!
A begging, friendly squirrel...looked so cuddly, but I am sure NOT!

 Climbing rocks!

Green vegetation amongst the rocks...amazing beauty!

 Into the heights!

 Smiles!
Walking on the back country road behind the duplex...

Outing to San Saba...the Nature Trails along the San Saba River...
The Wedding Oak tree, huge and ancient oak tree in San Saba...
Late nights and full days, equal this on the drive home from San Saba...or wait, that might be on the way TO San Saba :D...

The Friday evening of Joni and Cole's visit, there was a tornadic storm that rolled through...for awhile, we thought we were going to get hit head on....the laundry room was ready for us to fly into quickly...looking closely, it appears that there was two!
Starting to shift to the south...prayers answered!

Obviously, the van is not safe if a tornado hits-lol...but we decided if the tornado misses, we will pull the van into the garage(that we generally use for extra living space/playing toys) to miss the hail....it was a TIGHT fit!!
The last outing was Sunday afternoon that they were here...Jason took the boys fishing, cookout, target practice and hog hunting(this portion of the afternoon/evenings excursions ended up not working out)...they all had a blast!  While the menfolk did this, us girlies hiked at Lake Brownwood State Park, until it began to rain...gorgeous hike though!
One of the bass that was caught...

Target practicing....

A thrilled boy, as he HIT all of his bottles he set on top of this target block...
Thrilled as can be with himself!
We then enjoyed Lynn(cousin of Jason's) and his family stopping by to say hello on their way home from vacation in Texas....

More fun shooting off rockets with some friends....

Memorial Day-Jordan and Leah came up for a bit...
Janessa tickling baby Jake's feet :)
Games on....
Dog choring for some friend/neighbor/coworker's dogs and took this one, Mila, on a walk!
She loved it and is thoroughly loved by Janessa!  Janessa even knows which house the "whoof-whoofs" live in and tries to go down the street all the time, as of late, to see them ;)

Hoping that everyone found blessings in their trails and paths of May!
See y'all around in June's unfoldings :)
Love and blessings!
