February's Slow Belated Warmings...

Hello Family and Friends!
We have been VERY SLOW and belated in posting any tidbits of goings on here...our little missy has been sleeping VERY poorly and very fussy, she could receive the award for the 'Worlds Worst Sleeper''!  And this is no joke! She sleeps horrible and we have tried pretty much everything to help her/get her to sleep through the night, and are still trying different things out...so, with this ALL said...both, Jason and I, have been functioning on VERY LOW sleep, so things take forever to get done and I feel like I am behind everyday and somewhat 'fuzzy brained' sometimes...it honestly was easier in some ways when she was a newborn and little baby vs toddler now.  But I know this is a season and this phase will pass and then I can broaden my accomplishments; until then we do what we can and look for and enjoy the beauty in each day!  :)

We surprised the boys one Saturday morning and took them to the Brownwood Train Museum, as the small train runs on Saturdays and the time before, that we were there, was during the week...so, as a surprise, we have to blindfold and have them guess as we are driving, right??

Our love of reading books continues and grows everyday!

Our first time accomplishing getting up on the toilet!  Watch out, I'm getting this climbing thing down!

Homeschool Play Date was Roller Skating this afternoon...boys loved it!

Jadon's cousin, Landon, got him interested in rocketry, and he is slowly working on building ones that go farther and enjoys it.  He has had some amazing patience in rebuilding some of the rockets multiple times, as his little sister has disassembled them several times behind his back.

 'Nessa Joy' enjoying to 'cook'....
End of this past summer we had decided that I could use some renewing in my mothering and we put 'Renew Your Heart' Conference on our radar...kiddos and Jason enjoyed the hotel and Cabela's one Saturday, while I enjoyed the conference and came away refreshed and ready to tackle motherhood again :)

The following 5 pictures unfolded at Cabela's....Janessa LOVES horses and she wanted ALL of the horses, but couldn't fit them all in her arms, which brought her to tears, as she frantically tried her hardest to get them all scooped up.  Kirk had a soft spot in his heart and slipped one away and bought it with his own money, he had earned, and gave it to her as a surprise...the last picture is it sitting on her highchair....she loves it!

The backyard toy, has remained a living room toy so far...she spends many times going 'whee' during the day, and if it wasn't that it helped keep her a bit occupied, it would be in the backyard, but at times I'm desperate to get her preoccupied with something other than 'mommy'; therefore, it has remained ;)
Jason and the boys went to Ft Worth one Friday evening with another dad and son, that are great friends, to listen to Nick Vujicic speak...the boys mention this evening from time-to-time still ;)

Homeschool Curriculum Fair...the boys happened to find the S.D. Smith booth, who writes the Green Ember Series, which happens to be some of their favorite books...well, we could hardly get them pulled away!
Janessa has taken a liking to Sophia ;)
 An afternoon of hiking....

Gorman Falls at Colorado Bend State Park

The Mommy 'Kangaroos' with their two sweet 'joeys' ;)
Thanks to Merle and Diane for snapping the pic for us!
We are now figuring out how to get water our of the fridge!
Roast duck for supper and good to the last morsel :)
This is the first of a few updates that will hopefully get posted in the next few days, as we are playing catch-up here-LOL...'so long' until the next post and see you in a few :)
