December's Fleeting Moments Frosted into January....

Hello Y'All,
Well, it has been a long time since I posted, so that means this one will be a bit lengthy ;)
We had a crazy, speeding, busy but great December which found us KS bound at the end of the month, in time for New Year's.  Our visit in KS was a bit over two weeks, and was a whir of activities, with late holiday get together's, catching up on various appts/checkups for everyone, and time with friends and family.
It was a great trip home and the everyone was super excited to be in on a decent snow while we were back and plenty of cold weather....which I had taken pictures of the snow and now cannot find them, so just imagine the JOY on two boys' faces when they woke up to a winter white world :)
Kirk having fun and doing a great job making some delicious Gingerbread Cookies....
Janessa's enduring love of trying on clothes :)
 Never tires of going "whee"....
The first volunteer to help feed the deer ALWAYS!
Mimicking the boys when they are doing their school on the computer....
San Saba Mill Pond Park Light Festival.....
Cody, Amber, Kinsley Bletscher and Suna went with Jason and the boys to see the lights a blitzing...
Cheesy smiles... :)
 Brownwood LASI work Christmas party....
Dishing up the food...yum!
One Sunday afternoon we went and checked out the Camp Bowie Water Reservoir and found it
to be really neat and a good fishing spot...much to Jadon's delight!

Letting the stress of the week off or just plain goofy-haha ;)

This doesn't look to high here in the pics but it was enough to cause a little nervousness....

We had a surprise box show up one day for the kiddos...it was a HUGE highlight and fun entertainment just in playing with the packaging, let alone the contens!  Thank-you very much "senders" for this special surprise!
 Loving the antlers!
Janessa absolutely wore these antlers all the time, until she up and broke them :(

This picture found its way very mysteriously onto my phone as did....
.....this one too!!!  ;)
 Decorating a Gingerbread House...fun, fun!
Janessa is still in love with being pushed in a stroller...note that the above stroller is for a doll and got herself fitted into it and there was a very willing "pusher" that kept her on the move at this Christmas gathering....
She has convinced big brother to give her a "push" :)
We made a VERY FAST day trip to the Riverwalk on Saturday the 17th....
It was busy, crowded, fun, educational and the restaurant we ate at, was great Mexican food and entertainment of having ducks and pigeons "sitting" with us.  Janessa was besides herself that she couldn't "eat" the birds instead of just looking at them.  They freely gobbled up any free handouts ;)

An after dark view as we were leaving!
Raisin and JP Gummie "snack bar" ;)
Helping with the sweeping!
Trampoline fun!
We were blessed with the visit of these three guys on the first week of Christmas break.  They came down and wild hog hunted and stayed with us.  Everyone really enjoyed having them here and it was a couple of "blue" days, according to the boys, after they left!  We had a blast with them from; trampoline fun, Jason and boys going out hunting with them, Janessa enjoying books read to her.  They also surprised us with a box of goodies when they arrived and then surprised us again with a very special thank-you!  Great time and great memories made.

Daddy and Son time out hunting and cooking corn tortillas over a fire before more hunting :)

Whoa...watch out!
Christmas Day festivities at our house, was waking very early....reading Christmas story, breakfast, opening gifts, services at church, hiking at the lake, making gingerbread houses, and games!
Someone liking her new doll from big brother Jadon :)

 Puzzle time...
 Brownwood Lake hike....
....Christmas Day hiking in 80 degree weather!
Gingerbread house made out of a kit....
This young man did this one all from scratch...he made the gingerbread dough, cut it from templates cut out of paper, baked it and then "glued" it together with royal icing he made.
It turned out pretty well!
In KS someone is having to learn to wear a hat...it is NOT being to well liked having to get bundled up to head out....
At Jason's Rokey Christmas...both of these girls are enjoying a raisin "bar" for a snack :)
Christmas at Ma and Pa Meyer's with the very much LOVED pancake bar and feast...the highlight!
Books, books, and more books awaiting our arrival in KS for two avid readers !  I believe there is a third little avid reader in the making, as she was caught multiple times in the closet with ALL the books!  We would be lost without our library!
One of two snowmen the boys were able to make while in KS...it was a prayer answered that it snow, while we were back in KS!  We will wave "bye" for now and return next time sooner with more frosty (or not so frosty ;)) tidbits!
God Bless!
